Well Robertson is cheaper but going for hipper; a 'Cyber Street Block Party' at Slim's, a popular club in SOMA - the internet capital of the Bay Area. Lowly mutual fund managers get to hob-nob with 9-figure new worth CEO's who sold enough stock during their lock-up release to ensure that they can keep their Sharks tickets and still have enough leftover to start their own VC firm.

The Doobs! They were great. Haven't seen them since '76 at Bill Graham's Day on the Green along w/ the Eagles (but hey BA/Monkey had Don Henley last year didn't they?) & the Beach Boys.

I think the conference attendance is falling off because there is too much slow growth big cap crap and not as much new small growth names like the old days. But hey, I'll eat lobster and drink Qupe if they insist....
