Any serious constitutional scholar has stated Gore's government take over of campaign speech would be found unconstitutional. He knows the effort doesn't have a snow-balls-hell chance of being brought into law. The only reason he proposed it was to deflect the press away from the illegal actions he and Bill have already taken.

It's as phony as a 4 dollar bill. And any Democrat who takes the proposal seriously is a fool.

equal protection under the law has to do with applying the law fairly
So you are trying to maintain that since Congress is charged with not passing a law abridging free speech, that equal protection does not apply? It only applies on the laws passed? That's a dangerously undemocratic interpretation.
