After the "Chicken Little" fund managers begin to realize that Intel is failing in it's attempt to become a leading vendor of broadband chips, that patent lawsuits can take years to settle, and that by the time the case reaches the Supreme Court - BRCM will have bought out Intel - well you get the picture.

A good patent fight has never slowed down exceptional companies, only made them stronger - Go BRCM!

Merrill's analyst Osha implied that long-term effects of this litigation on either company would be minimal.

The suspicion is that Intel uses this tactics to delay time to market on many of BRCM 's new products in the pipeline.
