Irrespective of the patent's strength, you can never be sure at trial so throw in all you have. After all, there is a presumption that they are valid.

Now this is pretty extreme, but there is an outfit in Russia that has patented a bunch of pre-existing items, the most absurd one was the glass bottle - yes, a plain old glass bottle. Now they are going to all the beer and liquor plants and demanding royalties! -g- There are some red faces in the patent office and pretty pissed off beer plant managers. One plant manager quipped, "next they are going to patent the word 'Mother' and start charging us for that." -g-

The only Rambus patent I know anything about is the key SDRAM patent covering the programmable latency register. I suspect they the DRAM manufacturers will try to get that one invalidated. The other patents may be perfectly good.
