ASP for Q3 may be quite surprising

As we move to as much as 3.6 millions vs 3.2 in the k6/k7 mix, global ASP rise really fast. Here are some simulation I did :

------------ASP-------Ship-----million$
Duron-----$90.00----- 0.80----- $72.00
Athlon------ $165.00----- 2.80----- $462
K6-x----- $50.00----- 3.20----- $160
CPU revenue : $694.00
ASP global : $102.06

OR

------------ASP-------Ship-----million$

Duron----- $90.00----- 1.00----- $90.00
Athlon---- $175.00----- 2.60----- $455
K6-x----- $50.00----- 3.20----- $160
CPU rev : $705.00
ASP global : $103.68

That would imply an ASP of $128 for 7M units, AMD's stated goal is to reach ASP of $100 in Q4, not Q3, either you are expecting total units to be 9M+, or ASP for Tbirds to be north of $250, what is your estimate for units/asp per K6, K7 and Durons?

Chung Lee:

Wouldn't surprise me if AMD ships 1.25 million 900 MHz and above, 1.25 million 800 Mhz and above, 1 million combined other Athys comprising K7's and Durons, and 3.4 million non-Athys...Plug in the ASP's according to the mix and one can get some pretty interesting totals...Realistic??? Who knows, but one can tack on an additional $100 to $125 million for embedded processors to arrive at the total CPG Q3 revenues...The way I see it, AMD could come in at $1.50 in Q3 including the $0.57 capital gain...
