Pieces of the puzzle may becoming together. Stephens analyst stated ala may make a shift in DSL chip production. ADI CEO stated a big customer win would be announced this quarter.

This from never wrong on yahoo...http://messages.yahoo.com/?action=q&board=AWRE

Will the ala roadshows next week give us a hint about what may be the major clue.

Are the short sellers waiting as well?

Keith, the ADI CC should still be available on their website. The CEO said a few things. As for the ALA article you posted about...one can read that a couple of ways. One is as the Stephens report suggested, ALA is having trouble supplying the demand and may use other chipsets...possibly ADI chipsets.

ADI also said they'd be announcing a major deal this qtr., but that is thought to be in regard to the Othello product see link below, but I'm not sure myself since AWRE, ADI & Intel are all said to be announcing something within the same time frame...could be totally unrelated....OR?????

Very important to note that Alcatel is now including Newbridge in with that market share. So, a significant portion of that Alcatel/Newbridge equipment being deployed is being fueled by ADI/Aware ADSL chipsets.
