It might be interesting to call for nominees for doubles by 12/31/00 given today's prices. The list might be a lot shorter and my only nominee would be QCOM. In fact I bought a hundred shares in each of the kids' trusts recently based on that belief.

Doubles Portfolio....

NTAP is currently leading the pack with a return of 131% since the Personal Portfolio Survey Doubles game began at the end of April. Gmst is in 4th place at 114%.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the running for a prize. My pick was qcom :-(.

The question asked in the April Portfolio Survey was:

"What was the the ONE Single stock, a “sure thing”, that had the best growth/safety profile and would double within the next 12 months."

Since it is only 4 months into the 12 month period, it is too early to declare Qcom a loser in the Doubles Race.

BTW, I picked Sandisk, and continue to think that will be a double.
