Nice post from UF's G&K thread for QCOM longs.....

From: Eric L.

John,
<< The main argument is: if CDMA is indeed still trying to cross the chasm, then QCOM couldn't be proclaimed as CDMA gorilla >>

I read the referenced link.

Comments:

* CDMA crossed the Chasm Q4 1997 when it's subscriber growth doubled in a single Quarter. It showed 100% growth YOY last 12 months.

* Since then CDMA has remained the fastest growing wireless technology (end to end, or radio interface) virtually every quarter (last 2 a brief exception) and annually. This is NOT changing.

* CDMA market share is not 10% as post author claims it is 11.5% all wireless and 13.6% of digital wireless. This market share increases (slowly now) virtually every quarter.

* CDMA was accepted in January 1998 as THE primary air interface of 3G wireless by the predominant ((end to end) technology in the world.

* By 2007 (maybe earlier) CDMA will be the dominant air interface in the world and could be 90% by 2010.

How does one spell GORILLA?

Hi Joel: Yes, the EXTR call position I posted on here this morning was sure a good investment at that time. You will still have lots of opportunities to enter some call positions on both CIEN and EXTR. Patience.

On RMBS, no, I'm not in it. Have posted why a couple of times on here before. I use to trade it last year and made money on it. Then got out and not been back to it. It is not on my radar screen but then a bunch of good ones are not on my radar screen. Remember, I purposely do not follow but just a small handful and will not change very often.

Tomorrow..... hum. May be some opportunities. Be thinking what you will do, so you're ready to execute.
