I say buy the basket up and down the food chain: SPLI, AVNX, STLW, JDSU, GLW, CIEN, NT.

...pardonnez- moi if I uttered some sort of FM blasphemy that will get me tarred and shunned...

Ouch, tarred and shunned. How about this, why don't you present the case for these companies. We know about JDSU, but your take on SPLI, AVNX, STLW and CIEN might be enlightening. Before we toss them off at pebbles, could you provide some analysis to go along with your sweeping statement. I think you have merit here, but we are keeping the tar warm.

k, I see no reason to tar and feather you. Your summary of the fo space seems right on.

Do you see any potential G/Ks coming out of there?

Can an industry sector be sort of like a gorilla of its own?

Geoffrey Moore answers your question:

Gang,
Long time, no post. I am still pretty swamped with commitments relating to
the new book. However, I did want to comment on a question, "What happens if the industry itself is the gorilla?"

This sounds to me like a gorilla-less tornado -- a king, prince, serf market where there may be no king, only a handful of princes to date.
Geoff
