By dynamic, I am saying, let's build a topic map of Lichello's thinking. A topic map might be visualized like the index of a book, and maybe one a bit nicer in the form of a graphical interface (nodes and arcs). You can see a screenshot of an open source project I am working on for a book about Topic Maps at hypermultimedia.com Each node is, really, a container for topic-specific discussions, relationally situated with the other nodes so that it kindof looks much like a knowledge base of sorts. Big issue you raise: who decides what's good or not. In my scheme, nobody. Each topic is constructed as issue-based. Somebody posts the topic with a kindof position statement. Others chime in with pro and con commentary. In the AIM case, some of this discourse will be theoretical/philosophical waxing, and some will be statements from experience ("here's what I did..."). Oddly enough, all that has already been done in this particular message board, but it is totally inaccessible. Collected wisdom could easily be had if SI just happened to adopt a giant Topic Map for the entire web site, and threads adopted the issue-based approach. Imagine the whole idea of AIMing a particular stock being linked to posts on that particular stock as well. At that point, SI would become one of the most powerful knowledge bases in history, with respect to the investment community. We now have the technology to do it, and at not all that much expense. That's my 0.02 Euros for today. jack@topicmapland.ideas
