I'm glad to hear that you did cover. I was actually worrying about it.

I actually covered very close to break even.

Glad to hear you covered Marq. I really don't like to see anyone get caught on the "short" end.

. . . not arguing whether Oracle is a successful company

. . . nor do I think many others here are.

I do think that Oracle is overpriced . . .

Obviously, this is a matter of opinion. Obviously, much of the market at this point in time disagrees with you, and disagreed with you on your last call. Remember, I did not challenge your decision to go short when the stock traded about 80, but rather your proclamation that you would cover at 60.

If you feel as strongly as you do at this point in time, than I would call upon you to put your money where your mouth is. Let's hear you commit to a short position on the stock 6 months out. How 'bout those Mar '01 75 put contracts, which saw some heavy action today? Now on sale for $5.50 per contract(K). Or if you're much more bearish, and less willing to put up $5.50 per K, how 'bout those Mar 65s now on sale for as little as $3.00. The foregoing positions have gotta be tempting for someone with your view.

This is very similar to what happened last fall with the eCommerce stocks. I think that six months from now a lot of these stocks will be very cheap. We shall see.

Yes, Marq, we shall see, and I think implicit in your comments is the admission that ORCL has still more to go on the upside. So why fight the tape? Why let your ego stand in front of financial gain? Your comments are analogous to a broken clock, which is correct twice a day . . . but wrong the other 23 hours 58 minutes. I'd be willing to bet that your investment returns would be much better if you weren't so stubborn. JMO.
