INTCfan it is obvious that you deal very little with commercial banks, I at least needed to sue a bank to get my money not until I discovered that they have done so out of racial motives and disclosed it to the court, would the bank even consider to pay me a penny, they paid at the end after two grueling years In many instances I did not have the proper documentation to sue them or in other cases the compensation was same as the cost of a lawsuit. In general they lure you in, wait patiently until they see weakness and then they byte you. Fraudulent conduct by banks is pervasive but they are smart enough to hide it. Just ask your self how the S&L and bank debacle started 10 years ago? ..... not from honesty, and we the tax payers paid for the fraud. I had dealings with many banks both as a client and as a hired adviser, if in the US or overseas they are thieves and steal or cheat were ever they can. May be I am a cynic but I am not naive. All that said from my experience, the majority of those working for a bank are honest citizen,but an honest banker do not advance to far.
