Sorry docpaul...I can't add anymore to what you have probably already read or heard.

Certainly, Dr. Harari's comments on the joint SanDisk/Tower conference call regarding microFlash, and how it compares to SSTI's SuperFlash were interesting, as he stated:

...the one thing that we see is a real very very good advantage of the microFlash technology that Tower co-developed with Saifun, another Israel company, is that to integrate that flash technology into an existing leading-edge CMOS logic process is relatively straightforward, relative to I believe any other flash memory technology...so as you go down in the graphic dimension.... .18 micron and then .13 micron, lower voltage operation, you really want to make sure that by including a flash array for programmability you're not impacting negatively --adversely-- the direction of moving down the design rules. And we think that microFlash has that ability for embedded applications to be relatively straightforwardly integrated into .18 micron logic as well as .13 micron logic...and that I think makes it a very unique programmable technology that we hope we can take advantage of.

It's basically...you are familiar with SSTI's embedded flash technology that they have licensed to TSMC and IBM and National and so on? We view the microFlash as equivalent to that but significantly simpler to implement in any kind of logic product...

I think the biggest piece of news surrounding Saifun's NROM was the reports out of themarker.com regarding an Infineon deal:

You may wish to ask Aus what he thinks will be Infineon's participation with regard to the MMC, since elsewhere, they have been called the inventor of the MMC.
