Eric L: Yes. To be fair, I accept.

"So now if you will repeat after me, "WCDMA Exists", I'll be glad to say that "HDR Exists"."

WCDMA Exists.

We are in substantial agreement and always have been, except that you are more knowledgeable and experienced while I am a "learner" - but I try to keep up as best I can.

And my focus is more on Qualcomm specifically and out to CDMA and then toward Asia where I see the most opportunity and not toward Europe where I see little or none for the Q in the short or medium term (except in Eastern Europe and 450 k perhaps).

I appreciate your comprehensive and informative post, and am in general agreement - except that I am curious how 1X fails to meet 3rd gen standards in your view. It is approved, no? Its speed exceeds 144 kbps, no? So what is the missing element? Is it becuase it can be used in current spectrum?

Again, I see focusing separately on current spectrum for now as the most practical for the next year or so. Future spectrum is just that - the future.

Let's see if it is possible to limit disagreement and maximize useful exchange of information by a heading such as "Current spectrum" or "Future spectrum" on posts, or some such other division you prefer.

Best as always,

Cha2

PS What about the "connection" of bullet train speed and 3 G speed?
