French refinery blows: quote.bloomberg.com London, Sept. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Gasoil, a group of fuels that includes heating oil, rose more than 2 percent and neared a nine- year high after a fire closed parts of a French refinery, helping lift crude oil above $32 a barrel. Total Fina Elf SA reduced output of gasoline following the blaze last night at its Le Havre, France, refinery, the company's largest. The outage comes at a time when U.S. inventories of usable products such as heating oil are down from a year ago, helping lift crude prices by about 50 percent.
