Pop quiz for all you SI experts out there:

How do I send a PM to someone who is a member, but hasn't posted yet?

Regards, Confused in Conway

Hi Steve,

Since I don't use Newport anymore (it doesn't allow me to use a truly common Cash Reserve)

That's interesting. I guess that you are talking about using a common cash reserve for a basket of stocks?

Are you planning to use another software program, or a spreadsheet, instead of Newport?

I am currently working to make a habit of using Newport to check my cash reserve against the cash in my brokerage account.

I haven't checked your formulae; however, they do look somewhat similar to the ones for calculating Next Buy Price and Next Sell Price provided in the Moneyspinner, which I read many years ago.

I don't have a copy of that book anymore, however, Barry Savage or someone else might be able to provide you with the formulae in the Moneyspinner, for comparison purposes.

Regards,
Jack
