<The Third Oil Shock>
<From December 1972 to March 1974, crude oil prices quadrupled, rising from US$2.48 per barrel to US$11.65 per barrel. The second oil shock saw prices move from US$12.70/barrel in December 1978 to US$26 in March 1980 before peaking above US$38 per barrel in March 1981>

Yea, Jimmy Carter was just a disaster economically wasn't he?? LOL Hope it happens to a republican this time.

Les, it only proves te obvious the rise in oil prices are the fault of western governments. Transfer of taxes on gasoline from a percentage of the cost of oil to a fix amount tagged to the amount it was 18 months ago will lower consumer prices by 20% to 30%.

Bottom line do not blame the oil producing countries blame your own greedy government who is covering up it's mismanagement of their budget from higher oil products taxes ......... and then declare that they acieved a "budget surplus" <GGGGGG> what a joke.
