Stribe, Re: Athlons and KT-133 boards dying...

We've built 30 MSI K7T Pro KT133 with 700 MHz TBirds. None have died, NOT ONE! These machines are giving us excellent service so far and I have no reason to suspect that they will not continue to do so for the normal life of a computer. I like the MSI K7T, it's a very good board and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

Sharkey and crew's comments seems without basis, he's the first and only one I've heard of to suggest such a thing. Like you, I read lots of field reports from users and have NOT seen or read any indication of any premature failures. Perhaps he's got the his mythical "Athlon failures" mixed up with the actual Intel recalls.

In short, in both my direct and indirect experience, the "Athlons and KT-133 boards dying..." statement is unfounded hogwash.

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
