That's a question that's impossible to answer since nearly all the technology CSCO has at it's disposal has come, in some part, via acquisition. That said, nearly all the products CSCO sells today have some amount of in-house R&D - including the recently announced deployments of the 15900 Optical Router.

Humble person I am, let me try to answer that question politely.

Because, I own CSCO and sold JNPR.
Because I told CSCO to make something that will beat JNPR.



By the way, when's the last time Cisco developed something in-house?

Duh, didn't you know all CSCO products are made in HongKong with technology imported from China?
