Thanks for the advice re sending PM's to a non posting member. You see, it's my brother in London to whom I gave the free lifetime membership in SI. Problem is he hasn't posted yet (preferring to lurk), and I want to point him to certain posts out here.

Anyway, the suggestions you provided did not work. I'll contact him to reconfigure his profile to allow for it.
