Re : listed options / when ? -- as incredible as it may seem, a lot of these decisions regarding listed options are determined by "popular demand" from us "peons."

For example, if a stock is around $70, and the highest strike price options trading are the 75s, and you wish they had the 80s and 90s, you call up the CBOE (the (800) number is somewhere on their website), get through to the correct department, and make your request.

The "powers that be" then go to the options market makers; and see if they are willing to start making markets in the newly requested options.

Usually, they will do it.
