Correct me if my math is wrong, Jacob, but it seems today's decline in market cap for WCOM was around 50% greater than the $6B purchase price for Intermedia.

I.e. WCOM would have been better off taking $6 billion cash and running it through a shredder? Say what?

Seems like this company is damned if it does, damned if it doesn't...

(In seriousness, suppose some of the action was arbitrage plays, the logic for which at present escapes me.)

Dear Jacob: I dont know what all the crying is about. If GBLX and Exodus both wanted this business there must be something good about it. Those companies also have pretty savy management. Ps: I own a position in GBLX. JDN
