yes, and "I don't know"... ie. Yes, I think it's worthwhile selling overvalued stocks in ones portfolio to beat the rush and haircut one is bound to take bailing on the way down... I don't know if it's worth being short 'right now', and don't think anyone knows. I am long pooooooooooooooots on the S&P and have lost about 1/2 of what I made in April unfortuntately. However, my long term plan calls to have 2 years worth of pooooooooooooot buying, I'm hoping my timing is at least that good... and so far this years 'hicup' looks like it has extended that. I'm expecting to make about 10X on my committed capital [probably in 1 week! ho ho].
