Uncle Frank...as the name says I am a "trader"... I do also make investments as well and I never confuse the 2. A trade is a trade and an investment an investment. I use stops on "trades"..I also use market timing on trades...I do not use stops on investments, nor do I use market timing on "investments". I invest in ideas and concepts...I trade "timing" and psychology...2 very different disciplines. When I bought QCOM in 1997 it was an investment in a concept and idea, no market timing used...I still have that position...as for any timing discussed here its always for a "trade"...although I will tell you now has been a great time to add to one's investment in QCOM, which I have done...but that is not the same as a trading opportunity.
