Mary, I agree that Dell is having a problem managing expectations.

There is exacerbated by Dell's recent change in disclosure. Dell no longer breaks out the results from the venture cap side. Thus, it is more difficult to tell how the core business is performing. Usually, when a company decides that less disclosure is better, that company is hiding something. Dell invites this suspicion.

Mary: Right now the kid has plenty problems managing expectations.
With .41 for lst half, you do need atleast .25 to reach .91 for the year.
Even at .25 for 3Q markets are not going to be favourable to Dell.
The kid brought in people to help him, because it is too big a business to be able to get into so much detail. This is one of the better decisions he made.
I don't want people to put undue pressure on this team.
