I remember in the past few years, EDO DRAM was still being sold in large quantities, mainly because servers (including the 450NX quad-Xeon server and perhaps Sun UltraSPARC II) were still using it. But EDO DRAM should die off next year for good.

I have a hard time believing Micron will bring back EDO, at least in its original form. Or if they are, I doubt it's because they want to move away from SDRAM, DDR, and RDRAM. Not even ego is enough to make a stupid decision like that.
