And you are right about the Republicans. If Bush makes it, he will very likely be the president overseeing the BK. I am a furriner, but my read is that Gore gets in. The debates will be the decisive moment where the undecided will see how FU'd Bush is.

Gary, i agree losing is not so bad when one contemplates the consequences of the bursting of the bubble which will happen during the next term. The Carter analogy is the soft landing it may be a hard landing - Hoover style TL & EV. I refuse to watch CNN Clinton New Network or Rather! mike
