The first event Bush scheduled was an hour-long, prime-time edition of ``Meet The Press.'' Yesterday, Bush said he would show up at NBC whether or not Gore was there. The other television networks said they wouldn't broadcast debates on rival networks, and the New York Times reported today that NBC officials wouldn't run the program without Gore. I hope someone with a camera shows up to catch Bush standing in an empty sound stage talking to an empty chair. I bet he still couldn't get through the hour without a slip of the lip. TP
