"That's Washington," Mr. Bush told reporters. "That's the place where you find people getting ready to jump out of the foxholes before the first shot is fired."...........if he doesn't like Washington, why is he running for president?

Ergo, when the term "liberal media" is thrown about on this board, it symbolizes far less than it used to symbolize.

Not really, balanced media like Fox News, etc. is really still the exception rather than the rule. JLA

I do not disagree, but, on the other hand, Dan Rather should have been fired a long time ago, and Peter Jennings is barely tolerable. Then you get guys like Peter Arnett, who think that advocacy journalism is their duty, and of course there is distrust. As I said, the Post under Bradley exposed itself much too often, and the New York Times, which I read regularly for awhile, has occasional serious glitches. These are dominant media, and there is a sensitivity to the generally unconscious distortions, since they are agenda setting........

Now let's point out the facts of your so called facts:

>>Fact: Newspaper readership is declining every year. Fact: The vast majority of mid-size and small newspapers in this country identify themselves more with the Republican Party than with the Democratic Party.<<

Reality: Declining readership is happening with ALL newspapers. The largest circulations STILL resides with the left leaning large city newspapers.

>>Fact: Network TV is on a downward decline in terms of viewership. Cable TV is robbing ABC-NBC-CBS of viewers every month, and the trend shows no signs of abating anytime soon.<<

Reality: Guess what Bud, the majority of cable stations are liberal outlets, so what if viewers are moving there it doesn't deduce that they're not getting a liberal slant. The highest rated cable show on is LARRY KING LIVE, are you aware of his political bent? The big three (ABC-CBS-NBC)still own the gross majority of the viewership. Do you not look at Nielson results?

********

Do you just regurgitate facts from pamphlets or mime liberal articles like TP does?

Or, do you actually ever really think about the hype that your processing, inquiring minds want to know?
