John:

What are you talking about??? Nobody stole anything...AMD had a paltry 350 million shares outstanding before this deal...Although my percentage ownership has been diminished, AMD is wealthier by whatever amount of cash they bring in...The net effect to me is the same...I own a smaller percent of a larger comapny...

The real question is...can AMD realize a fat return on this additional cash...Based upon the past year's growth rate and the burgeoning market acceptance of both its leading edge flash and microprocessor products, I have little to no doubt that AMD will earn an outstanding return on this additional capital when applied...AMD currently carries the very real risk of not being able to fill demand for Athlon microprocessors (as is currently the case with flash) within the next 12 months...AMD is at the point on the "revenue expansion" curve where they need to plan additional fab space...Think about it...One year ago, Raza wanted to sell the Dresden fab...then AMD was looking for a partner...now AMD is talking about a new fab...The Athy has performed beyond all reasonable expectations and with the possibility of a 500 MHz speed gap over the competition by the end of January, there is absolutely no reason to believe that the phenomenal Athy story is going to be any less phenomenal for the foreseeable future...AMD needs more fab space probably within 1 year and needs to begin now...
