Yet another Lexar Media press release... siliconinvestor.com Lexar's President John Reimer stated, "Lexar has core technology on flash products that we have to protect. We tried to resolve our disputes with SanDisk outside of Court, but as those efforts have failed, we are forced to defend our intellectual property. We are currently looking closely at a number of other SanDisk products as well." I think Reimer's credibility is approaching zero at this point given his blatant attempts to pump the Lexar IPO on the day of the offering. Anything that comes out of this guy's mouth is, IMHO, suspect. At SanDisk he was in marketing or something like that. What the hell does he know about fundamental flash memory patents anyway? If this SmartMedia litigation had any substance they would have pursued it before the freshly-minted IPO, IMHO. Now it looks like a frail, punch-drunk attempt to swing back at SanDisk before Eli delivers the October knock-out punch in patent court. Ausdauer
