There are still a few farms nearby & plenty of woods. I live near the end of the plan nearest the main road. I don't think my neighbors would be too pleased to have me feeding critters here :-( I do go through 100+ lbs of bird food a month though. I have several feeders in my front yard which has several trees & bushes..... nice canopy.... I live in a split level home. My office is in the lower level with a window that is at ground level. From my desk, I look up into that canopy.... right where the feeders are. Makes the view very enjoyable Ö¿Ö Got on feeder just for Goldfinches & two with a wide variety of seeds to attract doves, finches, sparrows, cardinals, red winged blackbirds & the occasional blue jay.... the occasional hungry hawk.... OOF :-| They aren't interested in my bird seed..... they want my birds..... The wife tells me I am also guilty of baiting the birds to give our cats something to kill (she kids me about this anyway).... fortunately, the one cat lives on planet 'P' & is content to watch them from the same window I watch them from. The other has gotten to be too adept at catching my flying friends, so we installed a bell on her collar.... she still gets one every now & then :-( For the first time ever at this house, I had a squirrel about 2 weeks ago. Hasn't come back since..... Many chipmunks, but never a squirrel. Almost 3 years ago, I had a wild turkey munching on the steel cut corn in my mix. Now that was a sight! Well, enough ramblin' about critters. I'm glad all is well in R ocky R acoon territory. Ö¿Ö Tim
