I've noticed the DELL Site problems too.

I have never seen as many mistakes, dead
links, and missing content as I have over
the past summer at Dell.com At one point
the entire SOHO site was down for a whole
day. Even Dell admitted to me on the phone
it was odd. I've seen suggested computer
lists where all 8 models had the same price.
I've seen configuration warnings that even
contridicted themselves. There has definately
been a remarkable drop off in the quality and
integrity of information at the Online Site.
For all we know this may be some sort of
conspiricy by the Human salespeople to get
people to phone in their orders, instead of
doing them online. Yet another sign that Dell's
margins will be sufferring in coming months.

Note: if you use Netscape 4.7X, don't bother
shopping at DELL. many of the later pages
needed to complete a transaction don't work
correctly unless you have Explorer 5.X
(this is true whether you use 56bit or 128bit encription)

I have filled out multiple surveys on the DELL
site pointing out these Gaffs, yet all I get is
automated responses. When I did the same at HP
and Compaqs site, not only did I get Emails, but
both companies had a representative call me for
additional feedback, Compaq directly, and HP thru
an independent customer service outsource company.

DELL seems to be falling apart at the seams here.
I think Micheal should cool his jets and clean house
before things really get out of hand for shareholders.
