Northeast is in Gore column. Someone who you think knows this business will skim off money for cronies. Meanwhile I suggest you read a very good article in Washinton Post.

It doesn't bode well for the economy as a whole. The Gore environmental policies have hurt US domestic oil exploration efforts. Thus we are more dependent on foreign oil than need be. Thus people will be spending $50 dollars to fill up their tanks again this winter. Those who live in the colder regions will be picking between fuel for their cars and heating fuel. Hang on to your wallets. Thanks to Greenspans overtightening, we may be in for a recession. Not good news for Gore. Slick Willie begs the Saudis to produce more. He can do nothing else. They're going to get all the money they can. They have to support their country too. They are one-dimensional in their economy.knc

Charley Mane no one is making out better than Republican oil interests with these high prices. Do you remember the Gulf War? Papa Bush drove the price of oil to it's knees. A democrat and $40 oil sounds good to a lot of people who are working on rigs servicing and reworking stripper wells that rusted apart these last few years. A lot of infill and new wells are being drilled, free-hold leasing rates have increased 500%. Around here at night it looks like Christmas with every available rig on the go.

The Wildcatter's Prayer

Dear God - please one more oil boom, I swear I won't piss it away this time, Amen
