Yes, Thomas. But sometimes it's very difficult to tell how "mature" the shiny pebble really is. Sometimes they get no larger than a minnow. Sometimes they get larger than a bass and still retain no more than the shiny (hopeful) status. Sditto's term, bass, implies big fish of the pond, a precise metaphor in my opinion with few uncertainties about what it implies.
