Piscato,

You are right.

I think I saw that game.

Was it a playoff game or a Monday night game?
Perhaps they were playing a national or NY team.

I think it happened just before half time?

I always have hated the Cowboys.
Admired Staubach but still hated the team.

Franko Harris had that incredible miracle catch.
What the heck was it called?
They named it something...

Pittsburg was an amazing team eventhough I didn't route for them.
I remember seeing how Terry Bradshaw used to put his index finger up close to the pointed end of the football and throw perfect long balls to Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. (As a kid I used to try to throw that way...)
Their plays always made it to the Inside the NFL films on each weekend.
I loved listening to that dudes voice explain the plays in a theatrical way as classical music filled the background while the footage was played in slow motion.

I still can envision the cold grass field where you see the puffs of frozen breath coming out from the face masks.

I don't think they play games like that any more.

Men were men. The field was frozen or muddy.
Uniforms were filthy and bloody.

Damn, I love football!
