Back in '98 or '99 I read where they were going to the 2 V8s, must have dropped that program. I've been pleased with the V8 I have, it's what used to be the 318.

Sounds like your Wrangler is just the ticket for off roading but something that nice, well, it would kill me to put a scratch on it.

I used to have an older Wrangler when I had my bottom ground. I also had a 4x4 Suburban. The Wrangler never felt like it was going to sink belly deep but it didn't have the weight for sure tracking in the steering in the slop. Should have had narrower front tires. The Suburban steered fine. The tires were 1/2 buried in the mud. But then came the day the bottom dropped out of the road. Took a D-4 cat to pull it out.
