i've watched the management longer than 2 years. i saw them miss a product cycle, but other than that haven't seen any truly drastic errors. they've developed and purchased a LOT of technology--much of which is currently actually producing revenue. they've been able to catch the attention of JNPR, Kleiner Perkins, Fidelity, Janus, PBHG, Banc America, CS First Boston....need i continue? if the window of opportunity shuts that quickly...well...let's say a LOT of very smart people are going to be wrong about the direction of telecommunication.

<< Maybe it's because you haven't watched the management of this company continually pull off the worst timing I have witnessed during the last two years. >>

The "worst timing I have witnessed during the last two years" has resulted in a stock price rise of roughly 20-fold during those two years. Perhaps it would be clearer to say that anyone who has held his stock for those two years now has 20 times as much money as in September 1998. Perhaps it would also be possible to find a few other managements that wish they had such lousy timing.

I hereby nominate the quoted post for the golden finger award as the "Most Inane MRVC Post of the Year". Particularly for someone who claims to still hold every share he has ever bought.
