Mike:

...Just a quick comment. ADC telecommunications(ADCT) really doesn't fall into the group. I personally consider it a legacy equipment investment positioned very well to take advantage of mostly twisted pair rollouts(both broadband and narrowband) and secondarily, coaxial and fixed wireless. No doubt the hype is on their optical positioning but it's such a small part of their revenues.

Actually, ADCT is an end to end broadband provider as well. I got that list from the last paragraph of an excellent article:

individualinvestor.com

It seems to me that ADCT and LU the most undervalued of the group, with ADCT as the best buy at the moment.

Of course, JDSU is the only 'pure' optics play. All the others sell other stuff, from central offices, to twisted pair patch panels, to glass dishes.

Hi Mike - I guess ADCT is debatable. While ADCT mgt desire of being #3 [in FO component] is questionable, I read somewhere it is currently #7 [forgot where I read it, sorry.] So, even if its FO component operation revenue is small relative to its other operating units, it is debatable if its ambition can or cannot be fulfilled in the near future, and by what degree

best, Bosco
