I understand from an IBM customer that LTO shipments have been suspended for two weeks due to a problem with drives ceasing to function for an unknown cause. (Who knows how much longer it could be?) My inquiry to IBM sales would seem to confirm this since I was told that drives were in stock but that delivery would be in two weeks.
Anyone else hearing that the first SDLT drive to ship will be only the non-backward compatible 8mbs transfer rate, 80 GB drive? -Z
