I did not realize the GaAs capability of TRW. How does it compare to Vitesse VTSS? I understand that VTSS is the leader in GaAs semiconductor technology and that these chips are faster although more expensive but will replace silicon type chips for communications. With a 3.5% dividend and PE of under 8 TRW appears to quite a Buy. But then fundamentals seem to be old fashioned. Why does TRW trade at low PE? Of course GM fits the same profile so I guess it is because TRW deals a lot in automotive. Both of these should be good long term holdings.
