You do not understand how to read polls.

It is you who is reading the polls with rose colored glasses. Bush is not ahead in any poll. Zogby has Gore ahead by 6. CNN ahead by 7. Newsweek by 8. Even the conservative FOX network has Gore ahead in the electoral count. It would take some kind of dramatic event to turn this trend around. Most of the poll internals favor Gore.

Neo: You're technically correct regarding the polls and margin of error, but still, it cannot be good news to the Bush camp to be ahead 45-41 in Poll A and behind 45-41 in Poll B. In both cases it's a statistical tie, but it also is an 8-percentage-point swing for Gore.

Anyway, the polls are not Bush's problem right now. The problem he faces is how to regain momentum. His best option? Probably attack ads that distort the truth.
