Sudan: Minister Receives Delegations Of Russian, Iranian Oil And Gas Companies Text of report in English by Sudanese news agency Suna on 12th September Khartoum, 12th September: The minister of energy and mining, Dr Awad Ahmad al-Jaz, on Tuesday 12th September received the deputy chairman of the Russian Slav Naft Petroleum Company, in the presence of the Russian ambassador to Sudan. The minister welcomed the Russian company's delegation, and affirmed his ministry's readiness to provide the company with basic information and assistance to enable it invest in Sudan. Dr Al-Jaz also received a delegation of the Iranian Yukhan Company [untraced], and discussed possibility of the company's investment in the gas field and local manufacturing of gas cylinders.
