EepOpp, Petrol in New Zealand is right now US50c a litre for high octane. That's US$2 per US gallon [which is smaller than a British gallon].

In Britain, petrol isn't 2 pounds a litre. yrl.co.uk It's about 3.6 pounds per imperial gallon which is about 3 pounds per US gallon or about 80 pence per litre or US$4 per US gallon. Which is higher than other European prices [hence the moaning and blockading deliveries to demand tax cuts].

Best to fly to NZ and have a seriously cheap [other than petrol] holiday, buy all the woolen stuff you can carry and have change left over.
