Bill, granted MU trades at a ridiculous multiple for a commodity dram maker, and granted the quarter MU is about to report, and the next couple, are generally acknowledged to represent approximately the peak of the current chip cycle. So in that sense MU "deserves" a lower valuation.

But given that the street has no problem accepting a high multiple for MU, and most people agree that Micron's Q4 numbers (at the end of the month) will beat expectations, a strong ramp into earnings seems like the "knee jerk" reaction to expect from Wall Street, and the rest of us have to trade accordingly.

Do you have any reason to doubt that MU will beat its numbers or that the ramp up to earnings won't happen this time?

Hey, HairyHairDresser! Loved that Montana slip. Bet you pronounce the town like the stuff you put in sailboat's ballast. -g-

You got to love it when Rambo maniacs come over to a dead thread to try and bash the evil micron that nearly no one on SI cares about anymore. -g-
