OT Can anyone recommend a good online discount broker who has reliable service. I have Waterhouse Securities and the service is terrible. If anybody was considering them, don't sign up with them. I could tell you plenty of horror stories. Any recommendation would be appreciated. Please send replies through private mail. Thanks in advance.

Hi T2,
>We should see a real run up to earnings on JDSU--like one we have not seen since the Feb/Mar.<

There's nothing I'd like to see more <g>

T2,

Have you seen any comments or evidence that select processes are becoming less people intensive? That has always been an impediment to more product or less costly ones.

You mention 3 hour process for production, but I am not sure if you mean they are collapsing tedious human work and replacing it by other non-human processes, or they've made currently non-human processes even more efficient.

Anyway, the vector for efficiency is in the right direction, but wonder about just how labor intensive this business still is...

Steve

t-2- your eternal optimism during these last 6 months has been greatly appreciated. And you certainly are correct, that when JDSU decides to move again, whenever that might be, it will be quite explosive. Now, if we can finally get into the S&P 500 already, everything would be peachy <g>.

t2,
I hope you are right. The stock just feels heavy, though. Look at how it reacts on a pullback compared to other stocks, Ciena for example. It barely bounces back, while Ciena jumps back explosively.

I wonder if one of the big shareholders (Furakawa) is selling more of their position. Short sellers are probably leaning on it also. If this is why it feels heavy, then you're right, the stock will fly one of these days. I bought more shares on this pullback, but it still seems range bound to me.

good luck,
Ross
