Q) Do you know how fast the P4 is?
A) More or less

Q) Do you know how fast an Athlon with a 266MHz fsb and PC2100 DDR SDRAM is?
A) Doesn't exist but if they get it working then I have a rough idea.

Q) If not, what...
A) N/A

"Timna comes with a PC133 "translator" to make it price competitive" - No it doesn't

Q) What makes you think Timna will be 20% faster than Celeron at the same clock speed?
A) Nothing. Where did the 20% come from? Timna will be faster than Athlon and Celeron cos it will have an RDRAM interface on the die - removing the fsb and memory bandwidth bottlenecks.

Q) why is Intel continuing to make the Celeron next year?
A) Don't understand the use of present tense in conjunction with "next year"

Isn't TImna based on the Katmai core? Celeron IIs are on the coppermine core which is much faster. How can Timna be faster clock for clock than Celeron II?
P-III and Xbox will doom Timna...
