Thanks for bringing those enlightening statistics to the BB. Scary to think there were people using significant margin in that sector to get "full advantage" of that industry's growth potential! As it has turned out, if one had used AIM, one would have been miles ahead of those statistics. If one had used just the SELL side of AIM, it might have been even better!

It would be interesting to see what $1000 in any of those funds would be worth going back two years instead of just the YTD. I think there were some rather giant steps forward before those nasty stumbles back!

What's scary is that the worst may not yet be represented in those numbers. With venture capital drying up for the dotcoms and speculative fever shifting to other areas, some of those previous favorites might just be bust in the future.

Like the cartoon I used for this week's newsletter, times have changed from a year ago!
