John,

I haven't read the Mossberg review.

The link posted yesterday goes into some of the pluses and minuses of the Nomad and HandGo devices.

I think all or almost all will agree that flash memory manufacturers have their work cut out for them.

In BestBuy yesterday I noticed the RCA Lyra with a 64 MB CF card now retails for $229.00 plus tax. Once these hit $149.99 or less there could be a buying frenzy. Either way the flash components need to come down in price.

Maybe SanDisk should go half-sies with a fab with a major competitor on a new fab to boost production. Toshiba might be a good choice. <G>

John,

Is this the article you mentioned???

nytimes.com

Remember this is Michel Marriott talking.

In my book he's a dummshit, so take everything he says with a grain of salt.
