Felix, RE: They write these ridiculous articles, with no factual backup, and they try to sound like an expert. They are nothing but high grade morons and they impact your portfolio.

I'll agree 80%.

At the Fool, they do write ridiculous articles, they don't have factual backup, they try to sound like experts, and they for the most part are high grade morons.

But they have absolutely no impact on your portfolio, particularly when you're talking about a stock like Intel.

I find it rather amusing that the thread all of a sudden has discovered the shoddy job of research the Fool does. The Fool has always had rather inferior research. Of course, it usually has been bullish on Intel, but I'm sure that isn't why no one here has criticized them before.

Felix,
RE:"Jim, can we e-mail this writer and ask him to back up his facts about AMD's 90 % yields on Athlons. This writer is
clueless and he is grasping for something to write about."

Isn't this the way it is? Someone writes an article, SI members post it as if the person had some expertise to write it in the first place... Some gush all over it, while others criticize it.
Jim

Do you think he holds a position in the security ? I wonder what TMF policy is about their writers holding positions in securities which they write about ?

According to the guy's profile INTC is one of his favorite stocks.

The SEC should require that these "authors" or " writers" which think they are anaylysts, should disclose if they hold a position.

The SEC doesn't even require sell-side analysts to provide detailed ownership information. An analysts might hold thousands of shares in the companies they follow.
